Returning Student Registration

The Elk Island Public Schools’ (EIPS) returning student registration process is now open, taking place from Feb. 10-24, 2025.

The Division has sent an email through Permission Click to all EIPS families asking them to confirm their child’s enrolment for the upcoming year by completing the online Returning Student Registration Form—no log in is required. Using the form, families can indicate the school their child plans to attend in the upcoming school year and apply to attend a non-designated school, if applicable.

The returning student registration process is the only time current students, in PALS to Grade 11, can request to attend a non-designated school or out-of-boundary program for the upcoming school year—acceptance is based on available space and resources. Some EIPS schools have closed boundaries because of high enrolment numbers and aren’t accepting non-designated students for the 2025-26 school year. Schools will contact all students directly who apply to attend a non-designated school and advise of the outcome by early March.

All current EIPS students—in PALS to Grade 11—are required to complete the Returning Student Registration Form by Feb. 24, 2025:

  • To confirm your child will attend the identified school;
  • To submit the request for your child to attend a non-designated school; or
  • To inform the Division your child will not be returning to EIPS next year.
